Minor Oral Surgery

The advantage of our Minor Oral Surgery service is that treatment can be carried out conveniently within our dental practice, without the need for a hospital referral. This also means significantly shorter waiting times.

All procedures are performed under local anaesthesia, so you’ll be awake but comfortable throughout. Most patients find the experience much easier than expected, and our caring team is here to provide support every step of the way. For more anxious patients, sedation can be offered alongside local anaesthesia to ensure a calm and relaxed experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

We use local anaesthesia and sedation options to ensure you remain comfortable and pain-free during your procedure.

Recovery time varies depending on the procedure, but most patients heal within a few days to a couple of weeks.

Soft foods like yoghurt, mashed potatoes, and soup are recommended. Avoid hard, crunchy, or spicy foods that may irritate the surgical site.

If you have received sedation, it is advised to arrange for someone to drive you home after surgery.

Applying an ice pack and taking prescribed or over-the-counter pain medication can help reduce swelling and discomfort.

In most cases, a follow-up visit is recommended to ensure proper healing and address any concerns.
